Instructions for Handling & Installation

1) Handling
a) During loading and handling, due care must be exercised to avoid any breakage.
b) Keep away from fire and any heat source to avoid deformation.
c) Do not stack more than 3 feet high when storing indoors.
d) If stored outdoors, keep products well under shade.

2) Cutting
a) Use fine-toothed Tenon Saw.
b) Use only Power Saws with abrasive cutting off wheel or circular saw blade suitable for cutting acrylic.
c) Jig Saws with suitable blades may be used as well.

3) Drilling
a) Pre-drill the required fixing holes to at least 7mm larger than the diameter of the screw used.
b) Power Drills may be used at low speed but the drill bit must be ground to suit acrylic.

4) Fixing
a) Never use Drive Screws, Nails or Pop Rivets.
b) Always fix through the Ribs or the acrylic roofing and not on the Valley.
c) Do not overtighten the screw on the acrylic roofing to prevent unecessary cracking.
d) For Roof Pitch less than 10 degrees (1:5:6) apply neutral silicone sealants on all lappings and drilled holes to avoid water leakage.

5) General
a) Roof Pitch above 5 degrees (1:11:4) is recommended for acrylic roofing to facilitate drainage of rainwater.
b) Purlin Distance within 40 inches (1.0 metres) is most suitable to prevent sagging caused by thermal expansion and contraction.
